Behind the Scenes of My ENFJ and Creativity 4-Panel Comic
  • The Idea
This comic draws inspiration from the ENFJ personality type, which is often known for its passion, creativity, and the ability to inspire those around them. Based on my friend’s experience (an ENFJ), the story portrays how ENFJs thrive in brainstorming sessions, generating ambitious ideas by connecting their values with innovative approaches. The concept focuses on how ENFJs turn a simple idea into something meaningful, like a charity involving a giant pancake robot. While the idea might seem outlandish at first, their enthusiasm and persuasive energy can make others consider its potential.

The narrative explores how ENFJs are not only imaginative but also highly focused on creating projects that benefit others and align with their core values, such as love and community.
  • The Script
The comic is divided into four panels :
    • The Brainstorm: The ENFJ gathers the team and encourages them to share ideas for the project, full of energy and positivity.
    • The Spark: Someone jokes about a giant pancake robot, and the ENFJ’s creative gears start turning.
    • The Pitch: The ENFJ builds on the joke, enthusiastically suggesting a charity project with the robot distributing pancakes as a symbol of hope.
    • The Impact: Despite the seemingly over-the-top idea, the team finds themselves buying into it, showcasing the ENFJ’s talent for turning whimsical ideas into something compelling.
  • The Process in Detail
    Sketching and Composition
    • The comic starts with a rough sketch to lay out the overall flow of the story.
    • The composition follows a 2×2 panel format, making it easy to follow and visually appealing. Each panel serves a specific purpose: setting the scene, introducing the idea, building on it, and delivering the humorous conclusion.
    • The focus is on the ENFJ character, positioned at the center or in prominent parts of the frame, to emphasize their role as the leader and idea generator.
    • Then i work on the clean sketch, but i changed it a lot, from the pose to the placement of the NPC. It is to make the ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎setting more like a meeting.
  • Character Expressions
    • A major part of storytelling in this comic is conveyed through facial expressions and body language.
    • In the first panel, the ENFJ is shown brimming with confidence and energy as they encourage the team.
    • The team members initially look skeptical or distracted but become amused as the brainstorming progresses. Their gradual shift in reaction adds humor to the story.
    • In the final panel, the ENFJ’s over-the-top enthusiasm is exaggerated to show how absorbed they are in their idea, contrasting with the team’s bewilderment or subtle agreement.
  • Dialogue Balloons
    • Dialogue placement is carefuly considered to guide the reader’s attention from one panel to the next without confusion.
    • The ENFJ’s lines are often longer and more animated, reflecting their tendency to think and speak quickly when excited.
    • The team’s responses are kept short and humorous to balance the ENFJ;s energetic dialogue.
  • Lineart
Lineart is necessary to give a more sharp and clean illustration
  • Coloring and Effects
    • In here, I tried to use cell-shading in almost everything
    • When i did my base color, I just copy-paste the same elements from the other panel. It is easier and faster this way
    • The color pallete is bright and vibrant, matching the cheerful and dynamic nature of an ENFJ personality.
    • Subtle shading is added to give depth and make the characters and objects stand out more
    • Effects such as glowing hearts, sparkles, and exaggerated movement lines highlight the ENFJ’s excitement and creativity.
  • Refining and Final Touches
    • Once the main elements are complete, final adjustments are made to ensure balance in the panels.
    • The text is reviewed to make sure it fits naturally in the balloons without overcrowding the panels.
    • Additional small details, such as highlights on the ENFJ’s expressions or slight changes in the background, are added to enhance the visual storytelling.

By carefully combining all these elements, the comic effectively captures the fun and creativity of the ENFJ personality while maintaining a humorous and relatable tone.
